Phenotyping in the era of genomics: MaTrics—a digital character matrix to document mammalian phenotypic traits

Abstract A new and uniquely structured matrix of mammalian phenotypes, MaTrics ( Ma mmalian Tr aits for Comparative Genom ics ) in a digital form is presented.
